Administrators at School B have had difficulty identifying culprits of graffiti on bathroom stalls and substantial drug use in bathrooms. Students would also leave class and wander around the halls.
The SmartPass solution provided a way to identify the students vandalizing and using drugs by generating reports of pass activity to the bathroom within a certain time range. Instead of sifting through paper records, in just a few taps the school administrator could narrow down who went to the bathroom during that time. This, in turn, acted as a deterrent for the bad behavior since students were frequently getting caught.
In addition, because the school imposed severe consequences for not having an active SmartPass, it promoted a culture of discipline for students using SmartPass. Students stopped wandering around the hallways and this ensured students were where they should be - in the classroom learning.
